The Country Fire Service has contained three grassfires near Naracoorte in the south-east of South Australia.
More than 100 firefighters and two fixed-wing bombers were called to the fires, which were started by lightning strikes.
Small fires at Penola and Bordertown have also been contained.
The weather bureau has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the south-east of the state.
